Intelligent Plenum Air Management Module
The iPAMM module provides outstanding performance in relation to – energy efficiency, reliability, security and price. This is achieved with a patented air management system which has been engineered and manufactured entirely in Australia.
The iPAMM Plus is a complete rack solution which includes a plinth, sealed plenum, fan controller and cassette which contains two variable speed fans which increase the cooling capacity of the cabinet. Top and bottom mount configurations are available.
The iPAMM Ready (bottom mount only) is very similar to the iPAMM Plus except that it doesn’t include a fan cassette. It is important to have a pressurised air source to supply air to the rack. A bottom mount iPAMM Ready in a raised floor configuration with perimeter cooling would be an ideal solution.
The iPAMM Ready can be upgraded to an iPAMM Plus by adding the fan cassette and docking station.
BOTTOM MOUNT
The Bottom Mount iPAMM when installed in a server room with under floor cooling, ducts the cool air directly into the front of the cabinet.
Installation of blanking panels in rack unit (RU) spaces that are not utilised creates a sealed plenum allowing pressurised cool air to be drawn through the equipment thereby increasing heat dissipation from the cabinet.
TOP MOUNT
The Top Mount iPAMM works in much the same way as the Bottom Mount, however it can be installed in a air conditioned server room or have overhead cooling ducted directly into the unit.
